Tim Lee
Tim first became interested in aviation back in the early 60s when he was an Air Cadet with the 585 Squadron in Smiths Falls. In 1966, Tim, along with another Cadet, was awarded a Flying Scholarship. He received ground school radio and navigational instruction from Al Ryan and theory of flight from Hal Botham, both community leaders and aviation enthusiasts.

In 1967 he was stationed at the Royal Military College in Kingston while the regular cadets were on summer maneuvers and began his flying instruction at the Norman Rogers Airport. He was awarded his wings in August of that year.

Tim is currently taking IFR training at the club and hopes to have his rating by the end of next year. He also enjoyed a career in electronics and attended night school at York University and received a Bachelor of Administrative Studies degree in 1985. He began a Real Estate Career when he returned to Smiths Falls in 1986.

Tim was President of the Ontario Real Estate Association in 2006 and is currently the President Elect of the Ottawa Real Estate Board. As well as a Director at the Club, Tim is Vice Chair of the Economic Development Advisory Board with the Town of Smiths Falls.

His wife Bev was a teacher and she has recently retired as Principal of St. James School in Smiths Falls. Tim and Bev reside at Otter Lake.
